Tania Varela-Ibarra has been teaching yoga since 1999. She began practicing yoga in her early twenties as a way to supplement her modern dance pursuits but quickly found herself choosing her mat over rehearsals and by thirty had embraced yoga completely. During Tania's first pregnancy she completed the Khalsa Way Prenatal training with Gurmukh in 2010 and shortly after the birth of Hiro started teaching Mom Baby Yoga and Prenatal Yoga at Blossom Birth. Tania loves sharing the practice of yoga with expectant moms. She has seen the positive effects it has had on moms again and again whether it has been feeling stronger and more confident or connecting with other pregnant moms in a non-judgmental space or letting out a loud lion's roar. For her, it has been a great companion during both her pregnancies, both very different births and now as a mother of two high energy boys. Tania's other trainings include Integral Yoga, Om Yoga, Restorative Yoga and she continues to study and attend workshops to deepen her own practice and teaching.
